The Airis HardTop was unique in this test because it was the only board reviewed that has two hardtop platforms, one under each foot, and it was also one of the heaviest boards in the test. While this design is intended to make for a more stable design, it missed the mark. The platforms didn't add much in the way of stability but did make the board very difficult to pack. In addition, the Airis was the only board in the test that sprung a leak (which occurred on a seam on only the second day of testing). For these reasons, the board did not score well overall, but there are aspects of this model that can make it right for the right user.
If you're not sold, look at the Hala Carbon Straight Up or the PEAK Inflatable.
