We loved the Snow Peak Titanium Spork for its simple, elegant construction, functional, durable materials, and overall aesthetic appeal. We loved it so much that we gave it our Editors' Choice award.
That being said, while we liked it the best, people seeking specific features might want look elsewhere. For ultralight backpacking, the Sea To Summit Alpha Light Spork is the best option, but at the price of slightly shorter tongs and and a shallower bowl. Of the products tested, the Snow Peak Titanium Spork can easily be identified as the most elegant. Clean, simple design and shiny, mouth-friendly materials make this spork the most refined of those tested. It is light enough to avoid being burdensome, while still solid enough to remind you that you are not eating with a toothpick. The titanium is strong and nearly impossible to damage. Finally, the smooth finish makes it exceptionally easy to clean. Dislikes While we loved the Snow Peak Titanium spork, it did have some flaws. Like all metal utensils, it can very easily take the teflon coating off of non-stick pans, so cooking or serving with non-stick pans is not advised. It was also heavier than either of the other sporks tested. Best Application Car camping, backpacking, and backcountry cooking are all great applications for the Snow Peak Titanium Spork. As it is a bit heavier than its competitors, some may want a lighter utensil for ultralight outings. Value This product is expensive, but worth it.
