First Look Gear Review
Street Price: Varies from $75 - $149 | Compare prices at 3 resellers
Pros: Stretchy and comfortable, on the inexpensive side, wind-resistant, versatile, made from recycled materials.
Cons: Pockets might not be easy to get to while wearing a harness.
Best Uses: Alpine climbing, ice climbing, cross-country skiing
The Patagonia Simple Guide Hoody has replaced the Patagonia Guide Hoody.
It has the same lightweight, breathable, stretchable, wind resistant fabric and helmet compatible hood with visor. The Simple Guide is lighter, weighing in at 464g which is 134g lighter than the Guide. One of our main complaints with the Patagonia Guide Hoody was that it didn't have adjustable wrist cuffs and Patagonia has remedied that with the Simple Guide. It has velcro adjustable cuffs and it also sports a nice microfleece lined neck.
