Overview

The Nemo Astro Insulated is the best all-purpose sleeping pad we’ve tested. It balances the needs of car campers and backpackers well. We don't, however, recommend pairing the pad with the company's Pillowtop. As far as pillowtops go, Nemo's isn't very comfortable. Our testers found the Therm-a-Rest DreamTime Comfort Cover to be much more comfortable, and it's more durable and easier to use, too. The Astro Insulated is a great pad, but we aren't jazzed on its pillowtop. See our review of the Pillowtop here.
