Goal Zero Escape 150 Adventure Kit Review

The Escape 150 adventure kit is one of the better values for a portable solar system that will charge AC devices. If your goal is to power a laptop and a few other small electronic devices from your car or RV, this is the best value out there. That said, it is heavy. It is 16 pounds with the Boulder 15 panel and about 20 pounds with the Boulder 30 panel. By comparison, the Goal Zero Sherpa 120 Kit is only 7.5 pounds with the Nomad 27 panel but it is double the cost.

The main competitor is the Goal Zero Extreme 350 Adventure Kit. The adventure kit is about double the weight but it also comes with a bigger 30-watt panel and more than double the battery storage. The adventure kit is $100-200 more expensive. One big advantage of the Escape battery pack is it does not have the noisy inverter that the Extreme 350 battery pack has.

The Escape 150 adventure kit comes with the Boulder 15 panel. You can also upgrade to the Boulder 30 panel for faster charging. The boulder 30 is about double the weight and $110-150 more expensive. You can also charge the Escape 150 battery with the Nomad 27 panel which is about half the weight $150-200 more expensive.
