Pros: Meshy and breathable, lightweight, comfortable toe box.
Cons: Sole won't last long.
Best Uses: Dayhikes, light backpacking in hot and dry conditions.
We did a full review of the Keen Voyageur - Women's in our Women's Hiking Boot Review. It was the most breathable of all the hikers (or shoes). It is the most ideal for hot weather hiking in the desert and south. They are incredibly light. The one downside we found in the women's version is that they are not that durable. If you are interested in the shoe, do two things right now: 1) read the women's review (the men's and women's versions are constructed of the same materials) and 2) see our complete Men's Hiking Boots Review where be put a number of boots in rigorous side-by-side tests.
The Voyageur is also available in a version that comes up over the ankle called the Keen Voyageur Mid. We prefer the regular version.
The slightly related Keen Targhee II won our Editor's Choice award, it was our favorite light hiking boot.
