The GoPro HD Naked Hero is just the GoPro Hero, the housing and a basic mount. It does not have the mounts specific to surf, motorsports, helmets or outdoors. It has the same camera, housing and basics that come with all the other sport packages (see below). For a full review on the camera check out our
GoPro HD Hero review.
We liked the Original Hero. However, we encourage you to buy the
GoPro HD Hero2, which is much better and winner of our Editors' Choice award. The Hero2 camera has better image quality, a better LCD screen, an 11mp camera, an external mic jack and only costs $60 more than the first generation GoPro.
If money is super tight, we recommend the
GoPro Hero 960 for the most savings or the
Contour Roam for the overall best value.
