The GoPro HD Hero2 Motosports Edition comes with mounts for your car, motorcycle, snowmobile or just about anything with a flat surface (chainsaw?). It, along with all the other Hero2 packages, won our Editors' Choice award as the Best Helmet Cam. For a full review of the camera that comes in all the Hero2 packages, see the
GoPro HD Hero2.
The only reason not to get the Hero2 is if money is really tight. In that case, we recommend the
GoPro Hero 960 ($150) or the or the
Contour Roam ($200) for the overall best value. However, keep in mind that both these options do not come with many mounts or a memory card so factor that into the total price.
The one reason to buy the Original HD Hero motorsports package is if you find it on sale for a great deal.
