How We Test
We tested these nine different fleeces by constantly wearing them. We wore them around town, to bed, while running, hiking, and climbing, and even just while doing daily activities. We asked friends what they thought of fleeces they have owned, and got some outside feedback. This was enough for me to guage how comfortable and warm each one was.

The Windwall is a wind-resistant fleece, that is almost like wearing a windbreaker. It is handy to only bring one layer with you when you are climbing or hiking all day.

Beyond that we wanted to specifically test each fleece for certain qualities, like how well they breathe, water and wind resistance, etc. We compared them side-by-side while jogging in each of them, I got them each wet and noted how long they took to dry, and we tried each of them on under jackets and harnesses to see how well they worked as a layer. They have all been climbed in and shoved into our pack. Then we came to our own conclusions about how useful and functional each jacket was
