The Windstopper Tech really lives up to the Windstopper promise. It's like wearing sheet tin roofing, without the weight and getting weird looks. It packs smaller than you'd think and doesn’t weigh much either. Pit zips add versatility. The well-designed pockets mean you can sneak your cell phone into the gondola and snap a cheesy photo without getting heckled, while still hauling snacks for the lift line. The black one we got looked nice and simple, not covered in useless crap that screams faux-summitwear.

Dislikes
First and worst: Made. In. China. This one felt a little colder than some others (Our tester habitually wears it over a T-shirt). The liner wasn't super comfy and plush either. It's nitpicking, but the toggles on the waistband looked a little underweight.

Best Application
Wear over a thin base layer for ultimate versatility. Open up the pit zips ten minutes into a run on a blustery day or when you're full throttle up a hill. It breathes really well and you'll push sweat straight out through the fabric and stay toasty when you come back into a headwind.


Value
A good cross-over, this could be your one-fleece quiver if the budget's tight and you're savvy with your layering. Worth every penny.
