Street Price: $130 | Compare prices at 8 resellers
Pros: Well ventilated, stretchy front pocket, many features such as helmet clip, very adjustable, versatile, separate compartment for hydration bladder.
Cons: Hard to lash bigger items to the outside, water bottle pockets are small.
Best Uses: Day hiking, mountain biking, adventure racing, bike commuting.
The Osprey Talon 33 is the larger version of the feature-rich Osprey Talon 22 that won raves from our reviewers and was crowned with the Outdoor Gear Lab Editors' Choice award. If for you size matters, then the Talon 33 might be worth a look.
Both packs come in two sizes: S/M and M/L. Comparing the capacity in liters of the Talon 22 and 33 produces these numbers: S/M size, Talon 22, 20 liters, Talon 33, 31 liters; M/L size, Talon 22, 22 liters, Talon 33, 33 liters. Not surprisingly, the Talon 33 weighs three to four ounces more, depending on the size. And, of course, the Talon 33 costs more – about $130 list price compared to about $100 for the Talon 22, although both are often available at good discounts. The 33 comes in four colors; the 22 in five.

Other versions include the Osprey Talon 22 and Osprey Talon 22 with Platypus Big Zip SL.
There are also various sizes of the Talon: Talon 6, Talon 11, Talon 18, Talon 33, and Talon 44.
The Osprey Hi-Vis Raincover will protect a smaller Osprey pack from the elements.
