Both tents have otherwise very similar designs and construction.
Both get similar reviews. Which one should you get? We feel that if you are getting a light tent, you should get the absolute lightest one that fits your needs. For most people, that will be the UL2. But if you want more space or are in a group of 3, the UL3 is the way to go.
