Pros: Versatile, comfortable, great for long approaches Cons: Not great at edging, a little bulky when put in a backpack for multi-pitch climbs Best Uses: Climbs with big approaches such as HIgh SIerra routes
Overview
The Evolv Bolt is a top performer in our approach shoe tests. It scored almost as high as the Five Ten Guide Tennie, our Best Buy winner. Both shoes are very similar in design, performance and price. The Bolt has a better sole for hiking and the Guide Tennie climbed a little better. Check back soon for a full review and check out our complete Approach Shoe Review.
